The Animated film “The Prophet” was partially screened “as work in progress” in Cannes during the Cannes Festival’s “Homage au cinema d’animation” official ceremony.

The screening was the occasion for Salma Hayek to speak publically about her pride to be of Lebanese origins and to focus on the Lebanese talents who participated in making the movie a success starting with the genius of Gibran Khalil Gibran and his inspiring “Prophet”, Gabriel Yared who created the film's music and the financial support that came from Lebanon.

At the end of the screening, French actress Julie Gayet and French actor Gerard Depardieu declaimed a poem of Gibran Khalil Gibran.

FFA Private Bank was proud, as executive producer of the film and as its biggest investor, to host this event along with Salma Hayek, Doha film institute, Participant Media and Ron Senkowski.

The screening was followed by a “Lebanese” party in the VIP ROOM night club which was attended by many stars and famous figures such as Mika, Paris Hilton, Francois Henri Pinault, Emmanuel Chain, Gabriel Yared, Roger Allers, Jeff Skoll and of course Salma Hayek.
Guests enjoyed eating Lebanese mezze, drinking Mexican Tequila and listening to “Mashrou3 Leila”.

The Lebanese minister of culture Mr. Raymond Araiji officially represented Lebanon at both events.
