The opening of the first Semsom store in New York

23, Jun. 2014 News

Semsom, a regional restaurant chain of Lebanese cuisine with a modern twist, has mandated FFA Private Bank’s Investment Banking division in order to advise on funding the company’s expansion into the US market. To finance its US launch, Semsom is seeking to raise $6M in two phases of capital injection to support its growth.

In New York, sisters and partners Christine Sfeir and Carine Aswad opened their first eatery on Astor Place just few meters away from NYU and couple blocks away from Washington Square Park, introducing a Lebanese fast food diner with an American approach.

The Sfeir sisters decided to crown the opening with a dough sticking ceremony that traditionally is said to bring prosperity and peace to a new home. The sisters, Christine and Carine were joined by Julien Khabbaz, Head of Corporate and Investment Baking, representing the partnership with FFA Private Bank. "
